Web Diplomat services are organized by Trevor Gatty, a widely-travelled International Business Consultant, former career Diplomat and Protocol Advisor to the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.
After service in Zaire, Thailand, Switzerland, San Francisco and London, Trevor's diplomatic career culminated in appointment as British Consul General for the Southeastern United States, where he later became Dean of the Atlanta Consular Corps.
Trevor has also visited over 60 other countries in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia on diplomatic assignments. He is fluent in French Spanish and German and has a working knowledge of Thai. He is a trained Mediator and Arbitrator.
Trevor left the Diplomatic Service to establish a consulting practice, with an emphasis on Cross-cultural Communications. As Protocol Advisor to the Atlanta Organizing Committee for the 1996 Olympic Games, he wrote training manuals on International Protocol and Etiquette and advised on related organizational questions, training programs, ceremonial and V.I.P. handling.
After extending his consulting practice to Charlotte, Trevor was asked by the British Government to open an Honorary British Consulate to cover North Carolina, where there is over $3 billion of British investment.
Trevor has spoken on international affairs at the University of Georgia, the University of South Carolina and the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and has published articles in newspapers and specialist journals in the Southeastern USA..
In Atlanta, Trevor was a founder Member and Director of the World Trade Club and of the British American Business Council. He is Co-Founder, Past President and currently a Director of the British American Business Council in Charlotte..
